The Goal of this site is to create a database of all Union Units that fought in or around Gettysburg during the battle of Gettysburg in 1863. While doing that, I decided to include almost all of the soldiers noted in the Bates Volumes.
History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-5; prepared in compliance with acts of the legislature by Samuel P. Bates., Bates, Samuel P. (Samuel Penniman), 1827-1902.
So, besides the Soldiers listed in the Bates Volumes, I have added many other units. To aid in your search for units in this database, I have created to Unit Listing Pages.
