M'Kibbin, Colonel; W. H. Harrison, Lieutenant Colonel; Wash- ington M. Worrall, Major. Soon after its organization, it was ordered to the Shenandoah Valley, where, upon its arrival, it reported to General Egan, in command of the department, and was employed in guard and provost duty until July, when it was ordered to Washington, and was engaged in garrisoning the city. In November, Major Worrall, with a detachment, was ordered to duty at Annapolis, Maryland, where he was placed in command of the post. The regiment was finally mustered out of service at Washington, on the 21st of March, 1866.
